Milestone Companies was under contract to install 6,400 LF of new rail in addition to installation of 105 LF cast-in-place box culvert and 20,000 CY of cut and rail.

This design build project provided the added challenge of coordinating with the engineer on design plans, coordinating with the owner, and acquiring permits within a tight timeframe. Management worked closely with all parties to receive plans allowing portions of the project to be constructed at different times. Working on a fully operational facility also posed coordination issues. Arrangements had to be made to work around the rail car coming on and off the project. There were several last-minute operational requirements that required a flexible team to respond to quick changes to the work plan and schedule.
